Hey everyone;

Along with a tranny rebuild I've installed new clutch assembly, new clutch master cylinder and new slave cylinder.

Now comes system bleed...............should I stay with "regular" brake fluid, or go with synthetic stuff?

Chiltons, Haynes and Clymer all state use of DOT3 spec fluid, no recommendation of fluid type.

I figure synthetic's better for brake systems, wondering if it applies to hydraulic clutch systems too.

As long as the bottle says Dot 3...

ex. Dot 3/ Dot 4, Dot 3 synthetic, etc.

Any of your more common brands are fine, just stay away from Dot 5.
