clutch promlem

i blew my transmission and i just took it out and now the part in the middle where the shaft goes into is moving around. i can push it in and move it all around and it feels like theres a washer or something in there so do i need a new clutch now too or can i fix that?

If the hub of the clutch disc is spinning around then you need a new clutch disc.
Perhaps that's the problem?

i took it off and all the springs were bent and pieces of metal falling out everywhere so i guess i need a new clutch now

maybe the tranny isn't bad then? what symptoms were you having?

when i bought the truck the tranny was taken out because it needed to be replaced so i put in a new slave cylinder and put it back in and it worked fine for a while. the shaft was real loose so when it was in neutral idling it would make like grinding noises. after a couple days the slave cylinder blew so i replaced it again then the tranny blew a couple days after so i got sick of fixing it so i left it for about 2 months. its a 2.9 mitsubishi tranny by the way

Exploded clutch disc FTW!!! I've never seen one that bad.
Ive seen broken springs, broken hubs, cracks, even seen the friction material shred off, but that one takes the cake!

lol yea maybe because after it blew i was shifting threw the gears trying to get it to move?
idk but the clutch is messed up too so i gues i need a whole new one. it sucks because the clutch was pretty new when i bought the truck

lol yea i was just beating on it. it rained for 2 days after i fixed it so i was just driving around burning out and drifting because i didnt have anything better to do. i put 200 miles on it in 2 days beating on it the whole time lol i bought the truck for $100 so i didnt really care

i just bought a mazda transmission for $90 now i just need a new clutch and i can put it back together

i got one from autozone $99.99 plus tax and a new slave cylinder $65.99 plus tax now i get to put it all back together ive never done a clutch before i hope i do it right lol

Here and on the web was $119.99 for the disc, pressure plate, bearing, alignment tool and pilot bearing. The slave cylinder was $47 something I think.Hmmm.....
