Ok a little history first.
I own a 87 Ford Ranger with the 2.9l and originally the a4ld transmission. I was having problems with that trans so I swapped in a fm146 5speed from a 2wd Bronco of the same year. Everything ran perfect for about a week. I was driving threw town and the clutch pedal got stuck to the floor and when I pulled it up with my foot it could not depress it at all. I had to get it towed home. Well I let it sit for a while went out one day and it started up and I was able to drive it around. After a few minutes the transmission wouldn't want to go into gear and the pedal froze again. Well the truck has been sitting for several months. I went out this week and the pedal was really soft. Still couldn't shift into any gear but the pedal was really soft so I figured it just needs to be bleed. I found a crack in the fluid reservoir on the master cylinder so I replaced that and went ahead and replaced the master cylinder. I am hoping that air had gotten into the system by the crack and made the pedal froze.

Ok new issue.
I got the master cylinder replaced and bleed the system. Now the pedal is very slow to return but I can shift now when it is depressed! The clutch doesn't catch until the pedal is all the way up which takes about 7 seconds. What is weird is after I let go of the pedal, I can hear the slave cylinder slowly move back. It sounds like a dying gerible. lol.

Does the system still need to be bleed better? Is the throw out bearing or something getting caught? My friend put some hydraulic fluid in the system and told me it would be find. I am still trying to flush everything out. I told him it wouldn't work. Any ideas? Bad slave cylinder?
