My credo
it is what it is
is there an option for a horizontal master cylinder instead of a regular master that sits on a 45' angle?

also what is the purpose of the electrical going to the master cylinder?

im pretty sure the only master you can get is on an angle. are you having trouble bleeding it or something?

Ford couldn't find a cheaper way to do it. The pedal push rod setup and the pedal arm's swing determined the bad angle. Bleeding the system by undoing the MC and tipping it forward. Easy if the darn captive nuts didnt shear off . I trashed the MC and the hose in that fracas, No matter, in the end, I had all new stuff and after, read the directions that came with the slave and MC. The hose quick connect is designed for assembly ease , not R+R But Ive been spoiled by wrenching on my BMW 528es :D

im not having trouble bleeding it. but the MC line leading to he SC blows every few months. idk whats wrong with it. also, everytime i engage the clutch the MC pushrod sounds like its rubbing hard...but everything works ok

Is the MC loose? Or is the firewall flexing when you use the clutch?

checked the pedal bushing and its worn out.would that little bit of extra play put more pressure through the line though? and besides buying a whole new MC does napa or anybody sell MC rebuild kits?

A brand new master is like 40 bucks.

Believe the MC electric connection (inside the firewall) is the starter interlock - gotta have the clutch pedal depressed to start it.
