hey everyone i have a 1984 range 2.8 i just installed a new clutch kit today. yay didnt seem that hard! well the dam throw out bearing is making noise again and i'm having a tough time getting into first gear can anyone tell me wtf i did wrong or possible ideas i really dont wanna pull the tranny out again :D

thx guys

Could be your clutch master cylinder going out on you or just needs bled. Had this happen to me and turns out that mine was running low on fluid, added some pumped the crap out of it and was good to go. My dad had the exact same problem as you, changed everything but that and turns out that it was his master cylinder for his.

I'd check the fluid and bleed the system. (the bleed screw is just to the right of where the tube from the clutch cylinder goes into the trans.)
The throw-out bearing shouldn't make any noise, I hope you used a new one.

If you have a TK trans which you prolly do the slave cylindar is externally mounted making for repair and bleeding of the clutch system easy.

They actually made internal clutch assemblies on the TK terannies but I think that wasnt until 85. Thats currently the bellhousing and slave that I have on mine (put a 2.8 on it from a 2.3), all I could find at the time to put on my TK4 (yes a few mods had to be done for it all to fit from external to internal). I will say that on mine the bleeder screw is put in a PITA spot.

The throw-out bearing shouldn't make any noise, I hope you used a new one.
I hear the thing is to use an OEM one usually too, not one that came with a clutch kit. Dont suppose that matters on this old of hardware
