I'm hearing a rattling noise coming from the front of my motor. I think it's coming from the fan. Is it possible for the clutch to make a rattle sound when worn out? Is there bearings in the clutch? Can I replace just the clutch or do I have to buy a whole new fan?

Thanks

yes, though they usually seize up or wobble
Is there bearings in the clutch?
no, its a friction clutch IIRC

yes, clutch and fan are separate

Most of them noises up front are from the belt tightner or the belt idler.. Do them first as they have small bearings and are intended to go away first. They prolly need changing anyway.
