i want a good clutch for my 3.0 its a 96 whats the best clutch i can get is there any HDs out there or what should i go for?

If you go to an autozone, you will find about the equivalent to an OEM clutch and pressure plate for about $100, in stock. If you ask them, they also have a listing for an HD with increased clamping load, for roughly $179, special order. Should take about three days for them to receive the part for you to pick up.

I think autozone clutches are more than $100...............

my recommendation is a LUK.product.........I also strongly recommend that you replace the slave cylinder when you drop the tranny............I would suggest the LUK also............

that being said if Money is an important issue......you can get a Precision set from Advanced auto for about $170.........this includes, disk, PP, pilot bearing and slave cylinder...........the kit usually comes with a LUK PP...........you order them online and use one of the coupons to get around 25 or 30% off........

Zoom kevlar clutch. Comes with the slave cylinder, alignment tool, everything. Just make sure no matter what clutch you get that you get your flywheel cut before installing the new one.

My vote is for a Perfection Clutch kit. Napa carries Perfection Clutch parts, and I think they are the same as Zoom products. I've installed a couple of these clutch kits and I think they are a pretty good product. The kit comes with the regular stuff (pressure plate, clutch disc) and also a clutch alignment tool and a clutch hydraulic line disconnect tool, which was pretty useful.

Perfection Clutch slave cylinders are also very nice products. Instead of the usual plastic body POS you get from O'Reilly or Autozone, Perfection slaves have a metal body, and also have an improved hydraulic line coupling which is MUCH easier to connect and disconnect.

Best of all, their tech support is out of this world. I can think of few parts manufacturers that go this far out of their way to provide information and help to the consumer. The instructions (if you need them) are extremely detailed, and they also have a phone line you can call for help too. Also their website has a couple of VERY useful videos SPECIFICALLY for the Ranger and B-Series clutch systems. This guy goes through and VERY clearly explains how to bleed the clutch and a number of other things. The videos are also on youtube. Just search perfection clutch ranger. Awesome videos, these guys are great.

If your looking for heavy duty don't get kevlar or organic. They cant withstand prolonged slippage like a ceramic one can.
