I have a 97 2.3 5 speed ranger. The clutch cable continues to pop out of the slave. Ive looked into it online and I have found a way to get it back in fine. But i need a solution to KEEP IT IN. Pls help 3:

Should be a HOSE, not a cable

Can you post a pic of the slave cylinder connection? Some of them have a hitch pin thing that holds the hose in, others have a metal cage deal that is inside the connector itself. If you're missing the pin/or if the fingers on the cage are damaged/bent then it's possible for the hose to come out.

Have you replaced the slave or master recently?

There are two different types of "Quick Connects" but they were changed back in 1992 I think
