89 B2. when i start it up, after i let out the clutch it feels like she is engaging a tiny tiny bit because the rpms drop a bit, but not enough for the truck to move, she still stays in one spot just fine. (on level ground obviously). so is this normal? im afraid if i let her idle with the clutch engaging a little bit as i described it will wear down the clutch easily

I don't understand the question. Is it something like:
1. Put truck in neutral and hold brake
2. Push in clutch and turn key to start
3. Let out clutch and rpm's drop

Because that rpm drop is because you are engaging the clutch and spinning the clutch disc and tranny input shaft, it takes a wee bit of force to get them turning.

Or do you mean that with the clutch to the floor, engine running, when you shift from neutral to first the rpm's drop? That would be a bad throwout bearing. There is no adjustment on a hydraulic clutch, except for inside the bellhousing on some models there is an auto-adjuster.

Where in the pedal travel is your clutch engagement point?

yup,thats it

as for clutch engagement point, i havent really payed much attention to that. maybe an inch from the floor?

With your foot off the clutch it is fully engaged. The drop in rpms is totally from the clutch disc and input shaft spinning up. If your clutch is an inch from the floor though, you might want to bleed it.

Not to hijack the thread or anything , where is the best point for the clutch to engage. Mine seems like it is almost all the way up.

3/4 to 1/2 of the way up. When it gets all the way up, it's on it's way out. When it gets to the point where a hard shift under throttle causes the rpms to hang up high a bit before dropping, it's time to take it easy on that clutch until you can change it.
