Cluster Wire Diagram

My gas gauge is starting to tick me off so id like to wire one up from canadian tire or whatever. I checked the ohms behind the gauge so its not the sending unit its the gauge itself. Does anyone have a wiring diagram of the wires behind the cluster. Is it even possible to snip the wires and wire up a differnent gauge?

Duh lol sorry didnt think to check. Umm just one quick question would any gauge work? Would a part store gauge read correctly?? Or do I have to replace it with a stock one?
