Hey everybody. I have a situation I really hope someone can educate me on for ive never ran into this exactly. Anyway I have an 88 v6 4x4 auto trans. With the tachometer option cluster. Is there an accurate schematic/diagram of the plastic pcb. With a pin out of the plugs? Main reason being, I am putting leds inplace of all the glass bulbs in my truck from front to back. The leds are polarity sensitive unlike incandescent bulbs so I need to know + and - terminal position for cluster illumination. I do not want to trial and error this. The plastic is awful brittle and no fun to get in and out. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. DAVE.

There is no published schematic of the PCB, aside from the PCB itself, and Ford never issued a pinout chart for the back of the cluster.

The light blue and red wires are the power for dash lighting, just figure out where they attach and then trace it out with a Sharpie.

Remember that non-dimming LEDs will give poor performance in that circuit, and also test your LEDs to make sure they are polarity sensitive before spending a lot of time on figuring this out. Not all of them are anymore.

Thanks for the info. and ya they are polar but dimming

Yeah, it pissed me off bad when I needed to repin my cluster connectors.

I really wish I had taken better notes when I did it and made a pinout chart, but I was so engrossed in finding the pins that I needed for things to work that I didn't write any of it down.
