i have a 1985 Ranger 2wd. and i used to kinda beat on it and drive it off road. now when i hit bumps, the front end kinda clunks and the steering wheels moves. What could be causing this?

Check Tie-rod ends. I have the same deal going on but feel very little in the wheel. Also your shocks could be beat and bushing on a truck that old probably need replaced.

Soubds like it could be your ball joints, I believe the I beams had ball joints?
It could also be in the tie rod ends, and then you might have something loose underneath the truck.
Check to see if anything is loose that deals with the suspension.

Check out your pitman arm, and where your inner tie rod connects to the drag link. You could also check where your steering shaft attaches to the top of the steering gear.
