Just after i washed my truck i noticed a clicking under my shifter of my 94 supercab ranger with a 4.0l in it. The clicking is slow at take off and picks up as the faster i go etc. Now when im going down the highway and put the truck in neutral the clicking is still there, so im hoping its not in the tranny. The reason why i think it might be down there is cause when i lift up the shifter the noise is louder. I donno where to start? Could this be caused by ice build up?

god dam if its the u joint. this will be the third time replacing the dam thing

its yout clutch preasure plate, but just replace the hole kit. disk, plate, bearing.

I bet the noise quiets down when you push in the clutch pedal.
