What is done to allow 98+ Rangers participating in the 7100 class of desert racing (7s) to use the OE upper and lower control arms and still manage to get 12" of wheel travel?

Now I don't know what is done for the 98 and up Rangers.

I have talked to a guy who races a Toyota in 7s. He was complaining on how hard it was to compete with the I-Beam guys. He mentioned changing out the ball joints and running a taller ball joint spread on his spindle for more up travel. There was a few other things he mentioned..

Get the rule book out and let us know what all it says..

For some reason I am remembering a ranger with custom control arms in 7s. I think there is just a limitation on width..
