Im thinking about purchasing a 4.10 ring and pinion from Richmond gear for my rear diff. Should I purchase a shim kit along with that and does anyone know anything about this company? I want to make sure I have the backlash set right. I have a guru to guide me here in my installation but Im not sure about the extra little stuff that I should buy. Im just curious to know about any heads up information before I start.

Replace everything while you have it apart. And if that R&P isn't perfect you can bet you'll be doing it all over again. Good Luck.

I bought the total package with the r&p. I need to get the factory specs on backlash and torque etc
