any one know what happen to the exploder and the mazda b-series truck that were on two different overhaulin shows? any one see them or are they gone for ever?

oh and how about the pre-runner ranger that stacey david was building on trucks a long long time ago

I remember seeing the Stacey David ranger posted up on here years back, looked like it had just been sitting in someones driveway for years undriven, everything was faded and basically unused.

As for the explorer and mazda, I wouldn't be surprised if they've changed hands a few times, or wrecked, or parted out...Who knows, they might still be around and on the road, we more than likely will never know.

Just Google it, Bro. You can see lots of pics form all the shows. Overhauling has a nice website with all the stuff they did including a Mazda prerunner for a cute girl they put together for her and painted it really nice!!!!

Here is the one from Overhauling!!!! Really super nice!!!

does any one know the year that the trucks ranger came out in? as in when it aired?

I know the Explorer was on Ebay about 6 months after the episode aired. Dont know about the rest of them.

That's kind of sad to hear. Usually those people are blubbering on about how much I love this car. I got laid in for the very first time - or whatever. Followed by more blubbering, hugging of family etc. meanwhile saying how great the car is now - it's what they always wanted. Then they sell it in 6 months?

I'm sure as soon as they drive away in it they're probably thinking about what they could get for it now that its been on tv. Thats why I never understood why they strayed away from muscle cars on that show.. those guys truly do love their cars.

I think you're probably right. I've not had my midol and am in a cynical mood. I do love what Foose et. al. do to those cars though. If mine just cranks and starts I'm happy. Why oh why do they always have to put giant stereo systems in them though? I don't quite get that on old classic cars.

The Mazda was up for sale a few months back. It's basically the same setup that I have suspension wise.

My truck has a nice stereo in it but it's not overkill. Now that I have my Escort, though, I do hold a lot more sentimental value to my truck. I think I would be pissed if Chip Foose stole my truck and "pimped it out" for the sole fact that he would never be able to build it the way I want it and I would have to change 6 million things to make it right. Not to mention, he doesnt strike me as a truck guy. Could you imagine the look on his face when I ask him to get rid of the horrid multi-color custom paint and repaint it all white like the original color? haha! 5,000 dollar paint job sanded off.

My bet is they get their new insurance premiums in the mail.

In their defence, it isn't the same vehicle.

Technically it is, but it is the builders interpretation of the family/friends interpretation of what the owner wanted to do with it. They didn't make a car that I wouldn't have changed something on, usually either the loud paint, gaudy wheels, both... or something else. I also question the quality given the timeline they were on too. I thought a lot about it back when the show was on and decided I would rather do it myself, my truck would have less of a chance of loosing its identity to me in the shuffle.

And then you are screwed because you either sell it as the Overhaulin car and do another one how you wanted, or change the show car and kill its value to fans of the show.

Good points. I always wonder about the quality thing too - especially when the loc-tite women are wrenching on 'em. It is possible, but I seriously doubt any of them have much background in automotive repair.
