My friend has a Chinook RV project and here are the requirements.

*Preferably a light truck
*Reliable
*minimum of 20 miles/ gallon
*Should not require too much engine or suspension modifications that require excessive fabrication
*2 wheel drive, manual 5 speed
*Full floater rear end
* Must have good low end torque to be able to handle off road trails and moderate inclines sufficiently.

He is a toyota enthusiast but he is open to a good reliable build. I am thinking of a '93 or '94 ranger with a 2.3t, pref intercooled and M50D-R1 with a L/S explorer 8.8 with 4.10 gears. As long as you can get full floater setup installed.

What do you guys think? He is concerned with weight and low end torque and moderate incline driving. I think this setup would be sufficient to what he needs.
