Ok, kind of confused about this, I know stock springs give you 3" of lift, But the shackle takes a way 1.5. So stocks give you 1 1/2 of lift. I run a 6" skyjacker atm, So in order to get my 6" (I have go to 4" not sure) I would need a 3-4" lift spring with out running blocks.
Allso kind of all the wall, Could someone run a 6-8" chevy spring and run a spring under setup? kind of like on clampy from 4 wheel & off road

I go 5" from my chevy swap. I didnt flip the hanger tho
chevy leaf, belltec shackle and stock block

I'm using 6" Chevy lift springs. I made a custom pack out of a 2" add a leaf for a ranger, explorer over load, the middle spring from a explorer pack and the two longest leafs from the Chevy pack. I left the rear hangers in the stock position and moved the front hangers 6" forward and I'm not using any blocks.
That gave me 6" of lift. It rides great and flexes really well.

I was also running stock height chevy leafs, stock block and extended shackle with my 6" kit.

I am now running 5.5" chevy lift springs with extended shackles and no blocks with my SAS

I've been needing to address my Chevy leafs. One is sagging more than the other one causing a lean.

Are Chevy 63's/64's lift springs still soft like the stock set? I want to get rid of my blocks and get more lift.

Sorry to thread jack

All right, looks like you pretty well got to figer out what works for your truck.
I'm trying find some lift springs used but not many around me, I know were one set is but there in a yard and guy don't know what size they are any way of telling? also have the front springs also, I assume they would be no use to me?

If you've already got a explorer leaf pack I suggest you use the 3 bottom leafs and add them to what ever Chevy leaf pack you pick up. Just use the two longest leafs then see where it sets. Adjust as necessary. I've never rhode in a ranger with a pure Chevy leaf pack but my buddy has a Toyota with them and it's as rough as a one ton.
As far as how to measure them I don't have a clue. Hopefully someone else knows?

I have always found the Chevy leafs to ride softer than stock leafs. My lift leaves included.
