Thinking of swapping 64" chevy leafs into my reg cab long box ranger, currently have factory blocks with 3" rough country blocks stacked :annoyed: on 31s w/o sway bars and i'm sitting about 2.25" higher in the rear than the front. If i pull both sets of blocks and put in 64" springs (W/O overload) and use belltech shackles, I would be sitting close to level, correct? Installing the 64" doesn't shift the rear axle forwards or back, does it? Since my ranger is a 5 speed, i'd like to minimize axle wrap and gain some flex at the same time. I still do use my ranger as a driver and haul firewood and the old honda threewheeler :headbang: around so i need something road worthy. Any other ideas? Thanks! :icon_cheers:

All depends on the condition of the leaves. Both your current ones and the Chevy leaves.

Do a search. There is 50+ post thread on this very topic...

Do you have a link to that thread? I cant find it searching and the tech library doesn't give me the answers I'm looking for.

If you take a look at the first few pages of my build thread you can see my swap. Not difficult at all. It doesn't move the axle forward or back if you do the swap correctly. I gained 6 inches of lift using the 3/4 ton leaves, factory lift block and belltech 6400 shackles and it rides and flexes nicely. I'm on 32s.

Netted 5-6" with 1/2 Chevy leaves, stock block, and 2" shackles.

ok, here is a question, for my use (weekend toy, drive up north for camping carrying wood and 3wheeler, play on logging roads and some rocks etc.), do you think i would be better off doing 64" springs with belltech shackles, ditching both sets of blocks and leaving the rear hanger, or doing 64" springs with belltech shackles, ditching factory block and keeping the 3" rc block, and flipping my hanger? either way im looking to lose 2" of lift in the rear. Thanks for the help guys.
