Chevy 63" springs for 5.5" lift on sale

not as easy as using ranger springs but if you can weld and use 6" beltech drop shackles it is not that difficult. plenty have done it. There is a guy on Ih8mud.com that used 63" 3/4 chevy springs for his FJ60

No welding involved....just move your front hangers forward so the back hole fits through the front hole. Then just drill the other 3 out and bolt the hanger back in place...

Those are the leafs I run in my truck and they ride great, flex awesome and have great load capacity. I got about 9"s of lift, but I have 250lbs of extra bumper and winch out back and a heavy plywood boxliner.

didn't think of bolting. the 2 I have seen welded the shackles in

yes, there is no welding required, infact NOTHING on my truck is welded there, that just makes things that much more difficult when the time comes to replace damaged parts

if you use the chevy springs wont it bring the rear axle forward? cuz your moving the front hanger an the center point of the springs are forward arnt they? i was never sure about that so i thought i would ask

wiht the 63" springs it puts the center pin directly in the center of the fender well

Only thing I suggest is watching your center pin location. It may be that because of the arc (it's a lift leaf afterall) that it sits a lil too far back.....I used the traditional holes everyone use's with stock leafs and my axle sat about an inch too far back.....I have extended shackles but they aren't giving me any lift because they sit so far back. If I was to do it again I'd use my body mount rivet on the top side of the bracket as my location point.
