cherry bomb extreme for 3.0

ive been looking for a new muffler for my 99 3.0 manual. when i bought it already had dual exaust idk wat kind of muffler it has but it sounds like shit ive been thnkn about a cherry bomb extreme or a flowmaster 40 series 2 chamber with no pipes wat do yall thnk

Flowmaster super 44. 2.25" pipes. If you want it a little milder sounding get a super 40

I have a Cherry Bomb Glasspack on my 96 3.0 and I love how it sounds, real throaty and aggressive, and not too loud

I have the same set up, but I don't have any tailpipes, it stops at the cherry bomb just behind the pass. side of the cab at the first hanger of the bed is. I have the 4.0 and it sounds mean as hell, you will like it, no idea what size it is though, just got the size that was recommended by ebay motors which is were I bought it fer 37 bucks including shipping

I can say that the cherry bomb extreme sounds beastly and loud on a v6. I had one on my 86 2.9 and it was loud and beastly sounding. I would definitely recommend it

Personally....don't run either if you plan on being dumped. Take it from me...someone who has been dumped for over 2 years with flowmasters....sure, they sound cool and all. But it get quite annoying after that long with the interior sound and resonance.


In person, I've only heard a Flow Delta 40 on a 3.0...and it sounded awesome.

BTW....the Extreme is basically a 1 chamber Flowmaster.....it's hella loud and it'll make the truck sound like a ricer. Now...couple an Extreme with a glasspack, and the sound should be pretty darn cool sounding and very different.

Hell I think im gonna take off magnaflow off and put a cherry bomb on. I have a 4.0 straight out. magnaflow almost sounds ricey. Cherry bomb sounds deeper ??

yep the muffler thats on it now sounds like a ricer at nythng over 2000 rpm i like it dumped i love hearin the roar inside the cab goin down the road

you want deeper, go flow super40 or super44....

I hated the magnaflow I had on.....was too mellow and wasn't deep or loud enough for me. Then I threw on the Super40....jumped up dramatically. Then the Super44 came out, jumped up in just the raw beefyness and deepness of it all. It took me 6 mufflers to get the right one I was looking for.

Find the cheapest reccomended setup and work your way up. less expensive if the cheap one is it.

Yeah I'm just running one, I think 2" in/out with a 3 1/2" tip dumped in front of the rear tire, 18" long pack. On my truck the damn thing sounds like a classic small-block idling when it's cold Youtube has a lot of videos for you to hear it before you buy it, but free-revving and under load sound COMPLETELY different
