Best suggestion I can give if you plan on figuring out a muffler you want: Get an exhaust shop to install a new cat to muffler pipe in 2.25" diameter, have the hanger BEFORE the muffler on the pipe itself, and CLAMP on the muffler using either a regular exhaust clamp or I really prefer those lapjoint band clamps that run about $15. Then no tailpipes after that. Or you can do a tailpipe...but make sure it's unboltable and clamped as well. That way, you can unbolt the old one, bolt on a new one and so on.
Took me 4 years of messing around with my exhaust til i found a setup that I like....and I absolutely LOOOOOVE it!!!
Note on youtube vids: ALL SUCK. No way in hell can you really get a feel for the muffler listening to it on a computer screen. Qualitys of cameras, speakers, connections, where the camera is located, ETC....ALL variables which F-up your view(audiability) of the muffler.
