Ok, Let me start out by saying its a 07 Ford Fusion se v6, I tried other forums but no luck. I have had great luck with this forum for there are lots of people with great brain power..

I have had my car for 2 years now. Love it. But I got up one day to goto work and the first stop sign I went to stop at, I went right through. No ABS pump. Motor also would die out.

Now, I say this because, I can say that I believe I have/had ABS. All my vehicles do, I would like to think I would have noticed it before, the fact that I did not have it.

So my question is, other then hitting brakes, how do you tell ?

I check sticker in door jam, nothing said
I check original window sticker, says nothing about ABS or non ABS

I ran the part# the dealer says per repair order they replaced ( 7E5Z2C219B ) Control and it says its

7E5Z2C219B
Brakes - Anti-lock brakes - Module
Module, fusion, milan, zephyr, mkz 2006 - 2007 ,

Not really calling out ABS or not.

So please help me solve this ,

Thanks

Every Ford Fusion built has anti lock brakes.

^^^^ Bingo^^^^

Just Look behind the wheels, by the struts, there will be a wire running to the hub. Its for the ABS sensor.

Thanks for the extra help......

I will check for that wire behind the wheel, it should be just like my ranger that I replace that sensor cause of the ABS issue it was having. (should have thought of that one)

07 models did not come standard with ABS, that started in 08, per dealer

Part number does state ABS but I just could not figure out how my per dealer does not have abs but they installed a ABS part (ECU unit). I called dealer back and asked them that same question, they said " oh we charged out a wrong part on repair order, that should not be on there, we did not install that"

Thanks All

Cycle the key, look for the ABS light.

^ +1

yellow ABS light = ABS

or if you like poking around udner the hood, if you have one of these:

ford_scorpio_abs_pump.jpg

you have ABS.

For the ones that came up with good ideas to help me, thank you very much.

But for the one named Bent Bolt..............

I CAN NOT BELIEVE YOU WOULD ANSWER A POST LIKE YOU DID BY SAYING “WHATEVER YOU SAY BUDDY”. I JUST STATED WHAT THE DEALER HAD TOLD ME (PER MY POST, IF YOU READ IT).
IF YOU HAVE OTHER INFO PLEASE SHARE BECAUSE I DO NOT KNOW THE CORRECT INFO.

IF YOU DON’T THEN SHUT THE HELL UP WITH YOUR 2 BIT COMMENTS.

Thanks all

ABS was OPTIONAL in 2007, you are correct jrboatin.

Did you ever figure out if yours has abs?
So did the "part" the dealer installed fix your problem???
