My credo
The perfect is the enemy of the good.
Some kind of Ford. 35x12.5R17 K02's on 8-lug Method wheels, Mile Maker front hubs, Method rear hubs, auto trans, manual xfr case.
The body lift doesn't help with ground clearance (but the tires do by a couple inches, relative to 31"), they must have done it to fit the big tires.
Note the front hitch. I looked at the rear bumper it's to the frame plus reinforced (not stock bumper mounts). U-joint offroad (web).
Leaf springs have like 10 leaves. Nice front hitch.

Looks pretty sweet to me. Probably rides like an army 2 1/2 ton truck with spring packs like that!

Probably an E350 van conversion. My friends with Overlander Project run one.

It does look a lot like it. I wonder what is the year or gen of it maybe the grill tells.

I've seen several of these in Florida. I think there is a company that uses the Ford vans specifically, because I only see Ford vans like this, to do these conversions to them. When I worked on Awnings, we had a guy with one who wanted a small retractable RV Awning attached to his. Bossman truned him down and suggested the RV assembly plant in town.

Ford has made full size 4x4 vans since the 70's, at least. Not sure if they still do. But if they did stop, it's recent.

I see offroad conversion made from those transit van, guy down the road from me has one. I would think they are 4wd, but could be awd.

There’s no body lift… that’s a stock body mount bushing and I don’t see a lift puck on there.

Ford didn’t make a factory 4x4 E-series (at least on the ‘92+ chassis). I’ve never seen a parts breakdown that included a 4x4 E-series in all my years of dealing with factory Ford stuff.

Quigley conversions are the most popular E-series 4x4 conversions… that is definitely not a Quigley. They used a 4 link, coil spring, solid front axle setup; not leaf springs.

I stand corrected. I know I have seen (and wanted) full size Ford vans since the 70's.

I'd like find a nice E series for a tow rig for the G-Unit.

Van's are pricey.

I wanted one when I got out of high school for doing handy man jobs on the side instead of my mustang. Ended up why a truck because there was no way in hell I could afford a running van I could leagly drive on the road.

Every once in a while I look at used Vans again, then I go back to living with a truck...

Are you saying there's no body lift and the height is from the springs? Maybe I used the wrong words, but it's high, the roof of my B3 was even to the bottom of the side windows.

Yeah that's probably all suspension work. It's a 1 ton (or greater?) chassis on solid axles and leaf springs. They ride high.
