Check this out!!!! I am doing this to mine asap

summarize... that's too much reading

Go right ahead. I've got less than option 2 in my whole rig including purchase price.
Ya figure for that price they could at least offer better steering than just a drop pitman arm.

Too much money for a conversion kit. But if really wanted the Dana 44, thats your choice.

I also noticed they offer a 4x4 conversion kit for the Ranger. Once again, too much money. I could buy a good running 4x4 Ranger for the $4000 or less on what they want for the kit.

wait, they want 4000 for a conversion kit to a more or less stock 4x4 suspension? screw that... sas's can be done cheaper than that!

Well, $3600 for the 4x4 conversion. $4000 for the Dana 44 conversion option 1. But still. :annoyed:

SAS 4x4 conversion? :icon_confused: You mean I can turn my 2wd Ranger to a SAS 4x4. :icon_idea:

copykats V.M.S.d44 conversion brackets do the same thing, and i got them for $175 shipped .:icon_thumby:

yes, of course you could... you would be swapping out the 2 and going to 4... jy tranny and tc can probably be picked up for less than a grand, front axle from the jy are probably max 800... you're looking at 1500 so far... now you've got 2000 to get your suspension and driveshafts... that's more than enough imo...

it's been said many times before, if you are going to convert a 4x2 to 4x4, it's not that much more expensive to go to a solid axle, than the "stock" 4x4 setup...

the parts look like theyre well made, but someone should have used spell check before posting that on their web site. pitmen arm, hiem joint, "the 3rd members is not that great nether", i mean on the forums is one thing but thats a business.

if your in that situation, its not a bad way to go.

those are well executed, and you have real gains with your rig if your a go fast guy. time and money vary amongst us. its proving to my little mind thus far in my life, value of things you dont really need can only be perceived by the amount one has of those things...time/money.

i obviously would opt for joels brackets....:D
