I found this while browsing Craig's list last week.

Went out and got it for $100. It was made by snow bear in Canada and is called the versacap. It's all made from steel. It bolts into the bed and it's awesome. I weigh 330lbs and I used it as a platform to clean gutters the other day. I actually jumped on it with no ill effects.
But wait there's more! It's also a ladder rack! I can open it up in about 4 minutes. I can also put large stuff inside of it. Too bad they stopped making these in 2004.

I'm thinking of bolting on some steel to the cross member so my canoe doesn't rest on my cab. I also would like to put removable cargo baskets on each side of the top panels.

Never seen one like that...even in Canada...but it does look strong and versatile...I will have to keep my eyes open for one...:icon_thumby:

Pretty good concept---I like it. But I'm a topper man myself.

Ive got a topper, a regular tonneau, a toolbox, a contractor topper and this. I'm making brackets for easy installation and removal cause its kind of a pain. I had 3 10' Jon boats in the back the other day. So far I'm impressed. I wish the company still made them. It needs some refinements but its a great consept.

Never seen a cover like that before. Looks cool.

I'm actually hoping to someday make a waterproof canvas cover to make it into a cap when its in ladder rack form. Just in case I need to sleep in it or keep something bigger in the back that needs to stay dry.
