So this fall I will begin my second year as a mechanical engineering student. I was fortunate enough to land an 'internship' at a local factory. An intership is about the last thing I would call it. The better term for it would be "sit on your butt in a freezing office with nothing to do and make bank."
Since first year college students do mainly GenEds I dont know a great deal about being an engineer. Meaning there isnt a whole lot I can do around here. Take today for instance, I did my daily morning work which took like 30 minutes. After that I asked my mentor guy if he had anything for me and he replied with "No, not really. Just sit there and play around on your phone and computer"
....and thats what Ive been doing all day. Its not the first time ive had a day like this either. Granted some days sucks and are long and hot in the factory. But today is one of those good days. Much better than the Landscaping job I had been doing, especially with this insane heat we've ben having.
I just felt like sharing with you guys! Hope you all have a good day.
