Check engine/ temp Guage

Engine was overheating. I replaced the upper radiator hose, radiator, cap, coolant and thermostat. I ran the engine for 2 hours to get air out of cooling sytem. the temp guage never got above cold and check engine light is on. Please help. Thank you!

What year?

Does it have a seperate sender for the gauge and ECM? Or is it all in one?

I am not sure about the sender
The gauge worked fine prior to the radiator install
