Check engine ON, but it wont detect the scanner

Well doesnt seem like it gonna break down of you. DRIVE THE PISS OUT OF THAT TRUCK!!!

yeah it runs great now!
but the driveshaft whines like hell:annoyed:

I hear whiny driveshafts all the time. Kinda embarassing but hey its an old truck!!! My cat converters cover is held on but steel wire because I was done hearing it make horrible noise :) . Dude you gotta explain to me how to install taillights from a newer ranger(yes stepside has exact same taillight as fleetside). I have beat the hell outta my left one trying to load equiptment to heavy for me by myself:dunno:. I'm also running four bald tires(thank god I fixed the balljoints). I need money to buy new tires. Beyond that my cel comes on every now and then but thats just DPFE censor that I won't bother with until right before my next emissions. I found an apartment within my current price range which means no new truck anytime soon. I'm better off saving 15 bucks a week for a Sport repair fund. Right now running like brand new but I do expect little stuff to need repairs in the near future as my truck has 132K miles. Maybe before I get an Apartment I'm gonna get an entry level job such as grocery near the APT in Apache Junction because I did the math and if I slash my gas expense by getting an easy job close to home I will make only slightly less than I do right now. I'm not looking forward to another Asbestos removal in another 115 degree(47C) summer.

why looking for apt?
and i do need to replace the driveshaft's cross pins, its not just for the whining that thing could fall apart lol
as for tails, i know theyre the same for step or style side duh!
check for the trailer lights connector under the bumper, and get the tails u want, ill help u with the wiring.:icon_thumby:

Late I know but on my 99 pin 14 (i think) the power pin to the scan tool was shared with one of my two cigarrete lighters (which happened to short out) and would blow a fuse the instant I tried to put one in. Ended up removing the outlet so I could replace the fuse and hook up the scan tool. (it was the driverside outlet, the passenger on my 99 is on a different fuse)

never too late man :icon_thumby:
ill keep it in mind if the CEL goes on again.
dunno maybe the cig lighter has something bad, cuz i dont smoke, so i dont use it and the fuse was blown. :icon_confused:
anyway if i have to scan ill replace the fuse and if it burns again ill just remove the cig lighter connector:icon_thumby:
