The check engine light has been on in my pickup for a while, but in the warmer months I ride the motorcycle 90 percent of the time so I just haven't worried about it that much. It's getting cooler outside and I'm starting to drive the truck more often so I'd like to get this fixed. It's been running fine, and no noticeable dip in gas mileage.

KOEO tests indicate codes 337 and 558. The funny thing is that I replaced the EGR valve just about a year ago. I've also noticed that the car has started smelling like unburned gas once I stop. I've felt around every connection near the tank and the fuel filter and under the hood, can't feel any leaks and can't smell any at any of those points. I replaced the fuel cap a few tanks of gas ago with no luck.

Any suggestions? Maybe just another bad EGR valve?

Also, on another topic... I'm changing the real differential fluid. Problem is that I can't get the fill plug loose with my 3/8 driver and I'm starting to worry it might round out. Anyone have a trick for getting this thing loose?

Thanks all.
