I have a 92 2wd ranger with 14" rims. Which I am planning on putting 15's on it, but I want to know if there is a cheaper way of leveling my truck? I thought maybe 1.5" coil spacers....I just don't have alot of suspension knowledge to know whats the better solution.

Stack of washers. Don't forget to weld them together. I see you are new here..... The SEARCH function on this website will yield a plethora of knowledge for those who seek it.

Welcome to TRS. ^^^ PanamaExpat has the answer. And there is also a tech library at the top of the page that will give you other options if you look through it.

However you decide to do it you will have to get an alignment so just don't forget that.

You want cheap cheap, good cheap, or best?

Cheap cheap is to let a bunch of air out of your rear tires.

Good cheap is the washer lift that has been suggested.

Best would be leveling kit.

I'd go with the washers.

I'm in the same boat..

I plan to:

f150 coil spring spacers

&

4wd blocks in the rear. I haul a lot, so I'm kind of stuck keeping a bit of a rake.

I have McBay Performance spacers (off ebay, for cheap) in the front of my 2wd. makes it look great but you lose most of the suspension travel you have. Hit a bump and it feels like your riding in a log wagon. People think my truck is 4wd when they see it. But that is with f150 blocks in the back also.

Can someone explain to me why it is such an awful thing to have the rear of the truck sit higher than the front?

First off, rake is sexy.

Second, it's a truck, you want the rear up in the air unloaded so that you don't look like some city gangster when you put a load in the bed and drop it 6 inches from the extra weight.

If you are like me and haul stuff a lot, then a slight rake (like the one from the factory) is must.

On certain trucks, being leveled looks better... IMO

Thanks for all the suggestions! I don't want to completely level it, cuz I do haul from time to time, but I'd still like to level it at least an inch. Yes, I also knew that I would need an alignment, I already need one now....just another thing on my list of to-do's

Hauling a load or not, a level truck is a happy truck.....I had air bags and a 5gal air tank on my F-250 (it sat level all the time). If the rear started to sag when I hauled or towed something, I opened a little air valve, and presto...a level truck:yahoo:

Don't forget the boost in MPG from going downhill everywhere! JK...

8 15" concrete walk pavers layed at the rear of the bed makes my 88 4x2 level
