Im unfamiler with lowering a truck but are you able to do it cheaply such as cutting the front springs, or fipping a leaf spring? I know DJM have quality parts but how low can you safley go with Cheap options?

That is an amazing thing to know. Just equal year to your truck? The rear is easy, get an Explorer axle and throw it in unmodified. That can be good for anywhere from 4-6 inches, depending on the condition of your springs.
Front isn't so easy. Cutting or heating springs is never advisable, but with the TIB front end going too low without modifying the beams can make is unalignable. The same is true of going too high, but it is easier to put drop brackets in to level the beams than to make them sit straight when going lower.
