I just installed some of these cheap LED bulbs in my Ranger. 10 bulbs for $5.99 seems like a great deal. They are brighter than a 194 and the light is nice and white. They make the old 194s look yellow. I also like that the don't get hot and use less power. I put them in my dome light, cargo light, lic. plate lights, glove box light and under hood light. And I still have two extra bulbs. They are not as bright as a 906 so I didn't use them for a third brake light bulb. If they seem to be lasting and keep working well I will get more for my instrument cluster.
these are the bulbs I bought on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/301021055917?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
