anybody out there know of any insurance available for vehicles used strictly for off road use? even a policy that only covers the vehicle on saturday and sunday or something?

If it's strictly for off-road use, why do you need insurance? If you're going to drive it to the trail, it's not "strictly for off-road use"...

I just told mine it's modified for extreme offroad abuse, it's not a daily driver or built for constant street use at all. That and it'd maybe only see a couple thousand miles a year, like 4-5,000 at absolute most.

PLPD $36 a month through State Farm.

state farm told me they wont insure lifted vehicles

what about one off trucks not having the original cab?

Tell them what's on the Title.

I told mine that it was lifted, My rep said it wasn't a problem. Told her all sorts of stuff was modified, V8 swap, suspension lift, oversize tires, the works. Supposedly none of it is an issue unless I get better insurance instead of stuff to just barely be legal (because then it would involve them paying to replace stuff in case of an accident).

Granted I'm now 26, 2 vehicles, no accidents, no tickets, and only one claim for a deer the entire time.

the public trails in my area require a vehicle to be titled and insured to LEGALLY be on the trails...and I have noticed recently many of the large private trails are requiring proof of insurance before they will allow you to come on the property.
If the truck sees the highway at all it would be purely to go from one trail to the other since i trailer it everywhere i go.

i dont know what type of insurance you want. right now, i only have liability on my BII. it's like $10 or $11 a month. yeah, the parts arent insured, but if i F something up, i'll be going to a junkyard and fixing it myself. and BTW, my wife works at a insurance company (not the one we get our cars insured through) handling glass and towing claims. a couple months back, her company totaled a BII because one of the giant rear windows broke. cant remember all the details, but there was nothing wrong with the truck, just a broken window.

ok ten bucks a month...that sounds like a sweet deal whos is it with? all i am wanting is literally enough insurance on the truck so that if i get harassed by a game warden or something i wont have to deal with getting in a bunch of trouble and losing my drivers license and all that BS

it's through nationwide. we may get a better rate because my dad started it on nationwide when he bought it back in 96. liability will be the cheapest way to go and you'll still have a little slip of paper to keep in your glove box that says you're insured. plus, if you crash into someone else's rig, insurance will take care of it....just get a low deductible.

:icon_rofl::icon_rofl:can u help obama with health care insurance:icon_rofl::icon_rofl:
