My friend whats to get new seats for his truck but he is worried what will happen if he unplugs the sensor under the seat. Does anyone know?

kaboom

nothin...i think it is just for the stupid seat belt dinger

Passenger side may have a switch for the airbags, so unless there is x amount of weight in the seat that airbag won't go off. If you don't plug it back in the system will light up a light on the dash and nothing will go off in an accident.

+1, I believe they go to a weight sensor, so the bag won't go off with a small person, or child in the seat, and break their neck. But I could be wrong.
