I have a 2007 4L v6 4x4 sport ranger and I was wondering if a 2006 3l 2wd box will fit my truck. Any info would be greatly appreciated 😊

The physical box is identical... fender flares may differ.

The one I am looking at doesn’t have any fender flares. Would I be able to take them off the one I have now and put them on the other one?

I believe you can... I've never had much luck with it personally... but people do.

The thing is... if the bed doesn't have the mounting holes... you will have to drill them for the mounting hardware.

These are the holes you would have to drill for the hardware... Thank you Mr Bossley

Yup, factory flares used a series of mounting holes to attach. It would be possible to drill out holes to do it, but you would likely have to make some sort of template or be really good at measuring.

That said, there were three boxes for Rangers from 93 to 2011… Stepside (6’ only), and Flareside (6’ or 7’). The 7’ beds were a factory option for regular cabs only, and not overly common, at least around here. 7’ beds will not fit extended cabs without frame modifications. Not sure if wiring harnesses changed for the taillights, but easy enough to swap along with taillights. Fuel filler necks were different between step and flare sides, but again, easy fix.

Welcome to the site.

As long as they are both the same length (6' or 7'), they are nearly identical from '93 to '11, aside from little things like tiedowns and the tail light housings and wiring changing over the years.
