I'm in the process of finishing up my timing belt change. This is for my 2000 Ford Ranger 2.5L engine. I changed both cam and crank seal while I was in there. I removed the crank position sensor to remove the back half of the timing belt cover. I could have done it without the removal, but I wanted to clean the area up while I was in there.
1. Do I have to adjust the Crank position sensor in a certain direction?
The way it is designed it looks to have no type adjustment. The bolt hole that holds it is not slotted or over sized, but then I could be wrong.
2. is the engine rotation on my motor clockwise? I know, I should of looked before I began the removing of parts. I'm pretty sure it is clockwise.
3. Do I have to set the ignition timing or does the computer do that automatically?
4. This in not T-belt related, but can the PCV be changed without removing the upper intake manifold?
Thanks in advance for your help.
