Champion Spark Plugs **RANT**

Motorcraft coppers for both my vehicles. Nothing else. And any auto parts place will carry them.

I'll be the odd one out LOL.

NGK V-Power. Before our BII acted up last week with what appears to be a FPR issue? 20 mpg using NGK's V-Power series. Added bonus, they are not that spendy.

S-

I've used the NGK v powers for years and never had a problem w them. Getting ready to put them in my 4.0 for my B2, so ur not alone.

Can you buy Motorcraft spark plugs anywhere else besides the Dealers serivce Department?

I know you can get the Motorcraft oil filters at different places, is the spark plugs a dealer only item?

you can get them at autozone or parts plus, or anywhere pretty much.... sometimes even wally-world.

i only use motorcraft! bosche(in fords), and champion are junk!

Try that in a duraspark or TFI system. I bet they won't work nearly as well.

Autolite Platnums have worked quite well in my Ranger for close to three years... haven't touched them since before I did the swap.

I run Motorcraft in my F-150 just because the the $100 a pop COP makes me nervous with anything else.

I run Champion in my old tractors and never have had a problem.

+1 on autolite single platinum they are about the closest to motorcraft stock plugs you can get in my opinion.

It's a good idea to check any new part, plugs or otherwise before you install it or even before you leave the store. I got Autolites last time from Autozone....on one plug the center electrode and insulator was tipped towards one side, not just a little,a lot.

That is good to do with anything, I had a shotgun shell with the slug in it sideways. Anything manmade will have a couple bad apples once in awhile.

me too, it was a remington rifled slug with a pic of a deer on the side, lol. i forget what they were called but man, were those things powerful and acurate! but 1in15 would be crooked if not sideways.

Probably Remington Slugger (rifled lead slugs). Good slugs, for a low cost, and awasome hole punching power.

Advanced can get them. Not every store stocks them, but I know that they can get them.

I stick with what the factory put in them. Spark is spark...doesn't matter how big it is, as long as it ignites the air/fuel, the ignition will do the work. The spark plug is just there to make it go boom. I could never wrap my head around why ppl put the Bosch plat. +4's and whatnot in their rides...makes no sense at all.

As for Champion...it was a good plug once upon a time, but i think it's made in china now, so yeah, build quality suffers.

I have Autolite Double Platinum and Autolite wires in my truck. I don't have any problems with them. They work pretty damn good. I was going to get the Xtreme Performance ones but I figured that the Double Platinums would do and haven't regretted my choice.

no kidding, the cheap crap didnt work for you? i know not all things apply to this rule, but you usually get what you pay for

If spark is spark why do top fuelers use three magnetos and three plugs per cylinder?
