I recently applied Avalon King’s Armor Shield ceramic coating to the truck. It gave the paint a deeper black look. They say that the coating will last 3-5 years before needing redone. Has anyone used this product and did it last as long as they say?

I had something similar applied to the 2019 Edge when it was new. It's been 3 years and is still working.

I do the same, I'm pretty sure I wash my vehicles once every one to two years, but then again I don't have anything "nice", I haven't even gone as far as waxing something in ages... I probably have some wax somewhere if it's still good :)

What I've read from detail nerds, is that buying ceramic coatings can be kind of a buyer beware type situation. There's little to no regulation on such products other than "false adervisment" for the most part... so while 'product a' may legitimately provide you with a true ceramic coating that will last many years... 'product b' can be marketed identically.. but not contain enough chemicals to provide any sort of meaningful coating.

Its the hot new buzzword people are taking advantage of.

Thanks. Going to be tough to send down the road when the 2024 comes out this year if I buy one.

If you decide to part with it… I’d like to talk…. :icon_rofl:

My 2019 came with the coating if I remember correctly. It might have a benefit for those who don’t keep up on washing their vehicles. I really haven’t noticed a difference between my 2011 and 2019 but I do try to keep up on the washing and waxing on both. So that maybe why.

What's the tire size on the truck?

OK good they look great then mine should look the same when I get them back to oem size.
