Greetings, I found a set of 15"aluminum wheels that were suppose to have come off a 2001 explorer sport to put on my 96 2wd ranger. The problem I see is that the rims have a center hole of 2 & 3/4" while the 96 center hubs are 2 & 1/2". Will this safely work? Does someone make an adapter to make up the difference in size? The rims have 235/75/15 tires and the ranger had 235/60/15 tires. Truck sits up a little higher but everything seems to clear, just worried about the difference with the center hole. Thanks Gary

thanks, the lugs I have are tapered and fit down into the holes on the rims

The fit of the center hole doesn't matter as long as you hub fits through it. Ranger/Explorer rims are lug-centric, meaning it is the lug nut, not the hub, that centers the wheel. That means that has long as the hub fits in the center hole the rest doesn't matter.
