So I got a center console out of a 90 something Splash supercab and of course the floorboard in my 88 Regular cab is different. Anybody mounted one in theirs...I could use some tips as the bottom of the console sets about 1 1/2 inchs oabove the floor booard in the back.

When I put an Explorer ('93 I think) center console in my '85 I had to use square tubing under the front mounts to shim it up.

Yup, the gap under mine was the same. The console sits up higher compared to the seats than it does in an Explorer too which I don't mind (yours will probably be the same)

I ditched the Explorer seats because they hit the rear window pretty hard and I was still too close to the steering wheel.

And which seats did you use?

I'm also considering using an explorer console in my 88' regular cab, and I know I have to change the seats, so I better start thinking in options :icon_thumby:

I have Eddie Bauer BII seats in it now, I think the best fitting seats would be ones actually intended for a standard cab truck. :icon_idea:

These seats are a lot better than the Explorer seats were but they are still kinda thick at the top.

Mine look like the before seats but out of the same Splash. Those EB seats are sweet. did you hook up the Lumbar in the old ones?

No, I never got around to it. I knew the first time I sat in them they wouldn't be in for long. I do want to hook it up in the EB seats though (just haven't done it yet)
