Cats are evil.

A housecat is not taking down a groundhog... I've seen them chase off dogs...

I have seen cats chase off dogs too...

But yeah, a cat ain’t gonna take a ground hog.

Well then more fun will be had!

Yeah I've seen videos of how aggressive they are. My fave is the cop shooting one on the highway because it wouldn't get off the road and charged him ?

Its quite odd to me, they are relatively closely related to our marmots. Marmots here typically live in groups and are totally non-aggressive.

Lmao check out this fervent rant about them from the 1883 New Hampshire Legislative Woodchuck Committee.(!!!???)

The woodchuck, despite its deformities both of mind and body, possess some of the amenities of a higher civilization. It cleans its face after the manner of the squirrels, and licks its fur after the manner of a cat. Your committee is too wise, however, to be deceived by this purely superficial observation of better habits. Contemporaneous with the ark, the woodchuck has not made any material progress in social science, and it is now too late to reform the wayward sinner. The average age of the woodchuck is too long to please your committee.... The woodchuck is not only a nuisance, but also a bore. It burrows beneath the soil, and then chuckles to see a mowing machine, man and all, slump into one of these holes and disappear....

Wtf is a legislative woodchuck committee and why are they so dang mean?!

They are kinda cute:

That's no excuse for being a mean to a rodent...

Police violence against dirt hogs must end!

Play stupid games win stupid prizes. Good shoot.

Only mistake was stopping traffic for a rodent.

Yep, keep on driving. Most cars wouldn't even hurt a groundhog if they ran over it. Groundhogs are one of the few small animals that can take three or four .22LR hits to the body and still keep going.

Used to be, everybody here would swerve to hit gophers. Bragging rights to get the 1st one of spring.
Nowadays it's 50/50 or less. I quit swerving for them and let them decide their own fate. Hasn't changed my success rate much :ROFLMAO:

Here in Oklahoma, it's possums and squirrels. I've hit one each on my motorcycle, and I wasn't wanting to hit them. Squirrels in particular. They have that nasty habit, when eyeing a vehicle heading toward them, of dancing back and forth on the road, rapidly. Then splat, you iron them out. Sorry pal!

My M109R has a ten inch rear rim with a 280 on it. It irons out critters quite nicely if they won't get out of my way.
