I've searched and can't find the thread that it was in so here I am...

I'm planning to swap in a D35 into my 88. According to the all-knowing Tech Library I have a m/s 1350. I picked up a D35 from a '91 with a 4.0 I also grabbed the T-case since a buddy looked at it and said it was a 1354. So my question is can I swap in the 1354 and keep my stock front shaft? I'll check when it's light tomorrow, to make sure it's a 1354, but it looks different from mine.

Its also a manual shift, it that matters. Thanks.

No, you will need the 1354 driveshaft, it mounts to the t-case differently, 1350 has a slip yoke and the 1354 has a fixed output yoke.

Well that's what I meant, a stock shaft. I also have the shaft that came with the 1354, so I'm good then?

so long as the donor truck is a super cab also you can use its driveline.

Yep it was a Supercab.

Ok, I just checked to make sure, it's a 1354.
