carden joint

OK I installed the D35 that I got from AllenD to replace the D28 that blew up Great guy and very helpfull. I replaced all the Ujoints and Centering ball in the carden joint, but I cant get the rubber cup/dust seal that the centering ball fits into on the drive shaft side. Where can I get it? Do I need it ??? It looks like it keeps the mud and water out. Ford said no longer available I hate to put it all back with out it Thanks john

NAPA Lists/sells a complete kit to "Rebuild" the Centering ball

Anythime I really need something I don't waste my time going to Bozo-Zone or retarded auto parts I head straight for NAPA.

Though the quality of the service you get will vary greatly dependsing on your specific store.

The big box shiny auto parts stores are the "Cotton candy" of the auto parts world... ok for a couple quarts of motor oil (if you are too lazy to walk to the back corner of your local WalMart) but other than that....

When demand to meet budget is high and you still have to man a whole store with a sales team you end up with less experienced workers who are willing to work for less money.

There are still a few good parts guys around that don't work at napa....personally, I don't really like to deal with the guys at napa around here.

Anyway, you can get the repair kit at advance auto also....part #7-0081NG.

I have the rebuilt kit but i cant get the CV outer dust seal that covers the centering ball. NAPA and Advance tell me its not available but needed
