Carburetor

I have an 1988 Ford ranger 2.0 Liter with the AISAN carb. My dad caught the engine on fire and I have been rebuilding this truck from the ground up for about a year. I replaced all the gaskets from the head up, reseated the valves and got a ton of new parts. the carburetor is extremely complicated and has tons of emission lines; I am tired of fooling with it i just put a manual choke on it because the electric one did not work. My question is has anyone ever used this WEBER CARBURETOR at this site: http://www.carburetion.com/weber/weberpartscarb.asp

I called them up and asked how basic it is and they told me it is as basic as you are going to get. They have one with a manual Choke that will fit the truck with there conversion kit. Just need an opinion

In 1979 2.3's came with a Holley/Weber variant

just be careful you chose a Weber made for the 4 banger ur running...it easy to overfuel with this carb since you can tune it so many ways...but it is a logical, popular, and very workable choice for the motor..

Just choose the kit they recommend..

and you'll be fine..just realize that this carb combo is tunable unlike your oem carb
