carb to injection

I've got an 84 automatic ranger. 2.9
It is corroborated and I have a standard carb on an auto. (Don'y ask me why it was the previous owner) I was looking into getting a new or used carb for it just so stuff works how it is ment to.... But I got to thinking (and my question)

How hard is it to switch from carp too fuel injection?

What exactly would I need?

You should have a 2.8. As far as I know, all the 2.9s were EFI. I have no clue whether the intakes are able to be swapped. But if they can, you need everything from intake to throttle body, fuel rail, injectors, wiring harness and ecu. I may be missing something, its getting late and I'm getting tired.
