Howdy all ,
I just got my first ranger running little over month ago and I cant seem to get it dialed in right . I put in a 2.8 from a b2 and swapped over the carb from the ranger engine . the ranger carb was suposed to be rebuilt but had prieviously been exposed to the elaments for a while making it questionable . Now the b2 carb appears to be a 2150 but slightly differant in that the tps plug is differant . Plus there are no fuel adjustment screws on the front of it , instead it has some sort of little pods were the screws should be . I guess my real question is should I continue to fight with the old ranger carb or try to adapt the b2 carb to my ranger tps plug ?
Any input would be great .

I've never seen two diffient carbs on 2.8s from rangers and b2's, what you have i'm betting that someone replaced the carb on the b2 before with one from a 302 which have a diffent plug. As for your air needles they are in side those pod looking things and they're factory preset. i would say best bet is to get a rebuild kit for the original carb, they're only about 20 bucks. do you have the wire harness for the b2 if so check it and and see if the carb for the b2 plugs into it. Either way hope i helped a little
