Ok....

It only seems to do it once in a while, and either under a heavy load (like pulling my 7000lb camper) or on a hot start....

With the camper it will start choking out and dieing like its flooding out, i put the pedal to the floor and it doesnt make a difference....usally after i get done going up a hill or after i let off the throttle to make a turn, it does it for a mile or two then evens out and its fine.....

On a hot start i always have to hold the pedal halfway down to get it to start, but sometimes it will blow a huge cloud of black smoke (running rich)...Im just wondering if a simple rebuild will take care of this or if i should just get another carb all togther...

Cold starts are fine, high idle/pulloff seems to be fine, idles good, every other operating situation is fine except for when its under a load, or its running at a constant high speed (55MPH+) then let off and not allowed to come back all the way to idle (like when making a turn), or on a hot start. Cruseing, idleing, and hard acclerations are fine....

any ideas?

Dustin

Has it backfired out of the carb? If so your power valve is blown out.
