carb help

I have a 84 BII that I rebuilt the carb on. The problem is I did not take it off and I have too many hose fittings and not enough hoses. Can some one tell me where the fitting at the bottom of the carb in the front goes to. It is below and to the right of the fuel line.

I believe the one you are talking about is a loop that goes from there (where you described) to the very center of the of the EGR adapter. The vacuum line just makes a u-turn..

If you can take a picture of it we can probably help more.
There is one on the lower front of the carb (or it might be the intake manifold, I can't remember exactly), that loops up to the power valve which is on the bottom of the fuel bowl.

There should be a schematic on the radiator support by the hood latch similar to this one http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/diagrams/1983vacuumhoseguide.jpg except for the solenoid in the upper left corner you probably don`t have it but everything else is the same just follow the colors if you can still see the colors.

The yellow one goes to the big fitting that goes up into the air filter the blue goes to the throttle control valve on the front of the carb the power valve goes to the egr spacer under it on the bottom of the carb. To adjust the idle air get the engine warm after turning the needles out 1 1/2 turns. unplug the idle control motor and adjust the idle needles for the highest rpm then plug the motor back in the motor should idle down then repeat it a couple times and make sure the needles are no more than 1/2 turn between them to check it stop the motor and count the turns in all the way and then back out. good luck

thanks for the info found a 83 ranger in the junk yard(new arrivial) 2.8 and checked out the carb. Just need to make a loop
