I have a 93 std cab and want to put a cap (i.e. Snugtop) on but need to know what people do with the 3rd brake light. I saw a guy that just took it off and left the hole open. Is there something that comes with the caps that fill this hole? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure why you would need to remove it. I work on Rangers with caps on them all the time and have never seen one with the light removed. I have a cap on my 97 and there is tons of clearance. You definitely don't want to leave it out unless you want gallons of water in your cab.

Thanks for the info. I guess because the light protrudes the body and some of the caps look pretty tight against the cab I was worried.

My camper acually has a small recess where the third brake light is. I don't know how many other campers have this, but it looks like it would work fine even without the recess.

Most people just remove the bulb.

Thanks guys for your observations. I'm going to check a B3000 shell tomorrow. Hope it fits.
